A creative, data-driven consumer insights executive specializing in leveraging data science and business analytics to influence product development, marketing campaigns, operations and strategic positioning, Jeff Hamilton teaches Business Analytics and Research at Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and Predictive Analytics at the College of Computing and Media at DePaul University.

Jeff is Head of Consumer Insights at BMW Connected Drive, where he identifies, develops and implements market research to improve the connection between car and consumer. He recently leveraged consumer data mining and syndicated marketing segmentation data to develop a new user interface that resulted in a 300% increase in consumer engagement within four months of launch.

Jeff spent four years as Director, Consumer Analytics, Xpress Browser, at Nokia/Microsoft, where he led strategic growth initiatives to rapidly expand adoption of Nokia’s mobile browser service. He served as Director of Marketing at Newark Electronics, and previously spent six years at National Semiconductor, as Marketing Director, Regional Sales Manager, and Wireless Product Manager.

Jeff has Business Process expertise in marketing campaigns, forecasting, sales, and consumer analytics. When not working with data, Jeff enjoys the outdoors and being an overly enthusiastic sports fan for his three boys’ soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cross country teams.
